In October 2015, Girls' Brigade Ministries (GBM) hosted the first ever 'UK Girl Gathering' in order to prompt a conversation about raising hope for girls. Inspirational change-makers from around the UK were invited to meet together, and a group of 40 CEOs, ministers, youth activists and advisers used this opportunity to share their hope for girls. It was a collaborative time of dreaming, hoping and looking forward - resulting in the production of what we've called The Manifesto (read it here).
Now we'd love to hear your thoughts.
From 8 March 2016 (International Women's Day) we would love you to join the UK Girl conversation too.
We're inviting you to join this important discussion in three ways:
Share your thoughts, experiences and ideas on the Manifesto here before 11 September 2016.
(2) FACE TO FACE
Join us for the second UK Girl Gathering hosted by GBM on International Day of the Girl on 11 October 2017. Aimed at youth workers passionate about investing in girls, this will be a day of discussion, equipping and a yummy lunch.
(3) SOCIAL MEDIA
Let's turn up the volume of hope for girls on social media on International Women's Day. Share your hope for girls using #hopeforgirls hashtag. Find out more here.
Wondering why GB Ministries is passionate about this UK Girl conversation?
We believe that girls and young women can lead and inspire us. Girls are generation-shapers, hope-bringers and transformers of culture.
That's why we support and equip individuals, churches and organisations in mission amongst girls in order to see a generation of girls and young women rising in Gospel hope.
